Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed To November 19

CD Projekt Red has announced on its official Twitter account that Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed, again, to November 19.

Cyberpunk 2077 was originally set to be launched on April 16th of 2020 but was delayed to September 17 of the same year due to the effects and threats caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

According to its official Twitter post, the content and gameplay of the game are complete and ready to go. However, the CD Projekt Red, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077 and the popular Witcher video game series, felt that they needed to go through the abundance of content and complex systems interweaving with each other to balance the game mechanics. The delay will give the developers enough time to fix bugs and iron out everything. Furthermore, on the said post, it confirms that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a huge open-world setup.

Despite the delay, hopeful players are very positive about the studio’s decision. Players all around the globe can, however, expect new preview content of the Night City Wire this coming June 25. The preview will contain gameplay, reactions, and much more in-depth content from the selected journalists that are given a chance to play the Cyberpunk 2077 independently this week.
