Halo Infinite

Xbox Game Studios is finally bringing, Halo Infinite, the sixth main entry game of the Halo series later this year. As an upcoming first-person shooter game, Halo Infinite was first revealed in E3 2018. It then had a new trailer release shown in the E3 2019.

In the Halo franchise, this game will be the sixth main entry and the fourteenth game of the series. The story embarks as a continuation of the Reclaimer Saga with Master Chief as the main protagonist following Halo 5.

Halo Infinite Release Date

The 6th main entry to the Halo Series, Halo Infinite, is set to be released around the last quarter of 2020. There hasn’t been any specific date yet.

In addition to the release date of the game, Xbox Series X is also set to have the same release date along with Halo Infinite.

Microsoft has also stated that the first official gameplay live stream of Halo Infinite will be made public in July 2020. The live stream will be showcasing games from its first-party studios for Xbox.

Halo Infinite Pricing (Pre-Order)

As of this writing, the developers 343 Industries and SkyBox Labs have not released any statement or confirmation yet in regard to the games’ pricing. Furthermore, there hasn’t been any pre-order yet.

Halo Infinite Platform

Halo Infinite will be exclusive to both Windows 10 and Xbox One. This translates to both PC and Xbox One platforms including Xbox Series X.

There are possibilities that the game will be available for purchase and download on popular e-game stores for PC such as Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. But of course, the game will first be available on the Microsoft Game Store. However, there has not been any confirmation yet of the developers and the publisher will make the game available on such platforms.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer

Halo Infinite will have multiplayer support but there is no confirmation if the game will support cross-platform or online multiplayer modes. What we do know, based on the trailers, Halo Infinite will have a local multiplayer mode in a form of split-screen.

It would be great if the game will support multiplayer modes via the local area network but if that will be the case, then the game will also be available for online modes. Information is scarce thus we cannot be certain yet as of this writing.

Other Things You Need To Know

According to developer 343 Industries, Halo Infinite will not be featuring any form of battle royale mode. Furthermore, Halo Ring and Forge mode will be incorporated into the game.

If you’re wondering about micro-transactions, there hasn’t been any confirmation from the developers yet. However, there won’t be any loot boxes in the game.

Developer 343 Industry has stated in one of their developer blogs that Halo Infinite will be one of the many first-party titles included in the Xbox 20/20 event in July. However, there hasn’t been any confirmation yet if the event will push through most especially with the current pandemic that the world is facing.
