Pokemon Sword & Shield: The Isle of Armor

The Isle of Armor expansion for the Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield is now live. A new adventure now awaits every Pokemon Sword and Shield players but you just can’t go to the expansion yet from the get go. Players need to follow a set of specific way to be able to reach the Isle of Armor.

How to start the Isle of Armor DLC

The Isle of Armor expansion will be adding new content, storyline, Pokemons, a new wild area, and returning Pokemon to the base game. Additionally, players can begin the expansion even if they have not completed the base game story yet.

To access the first expansion in-game, players will need to purchase the Pokemon Pass, available on the Nintendo eShop, for them to have access to the island of the Isle of Armor.

Once you have the expansion pass, updated the game, and acquired an Armor Pass, which is automatically given to players who purchases the expansion pass, players would simply need to head to Wedgehurst Train Station. It is the first train station that you will encounter when you first started playing the game. Located near your home town.

Once you’re in the Isle of Armor, you’ll be facing your fist Pokemon battle in the area against Klara. The battle will be easy since Klara will be using weak Pokemons against you. Afterwards, you’re free to explore the area. Be careful though, the Isle of Armor is quite large and you might get lost in your first play through.

What Level can you do the Isle of Armor?

The level of Pokemons in the area of the Isle of Armor will depend on your current Pokemon base game progress. If you have not completed the base game story yet, the Pokemons in the wild area of the Isle of Armor will scale according to your Pokemon’s level. Furthermore, the deeper you find yourself in the wild area of the expansion, the higher the level of Pokemons you will encounter.

How to farm Max Mushroom on the Isle of Armor?

Max Mushrooms are the main item requirement needed to make the Max Soup. Players will be able to learn the process of making Max Soup as they follow the story set in the Isle of Armor. Once players acquired their first cluster of Max Mushroom, Master Mustard will then teach players how to make Max Soup.

Pokemon Expansion Sword / Shield

The Pokemon Company is set to release the first ever expansion game for Pokemon Sword & Shield this coming June. There will be two sets of expansion in which the Crown of Tundra will be the latter expansion for the game.

In the past Pokemon games, the usual progression for every edition is an enhanced version of the game with additional story line. For example, Pokemon Ruby got enhanced to Pokemon Omega Ruby. So with Pokemon Sun to Pokemon Ultra Sun. Now that the Pokemon Company has diverted from its traditional installment of the game, we expect that this will be the case for the future Pokemon games where expansion in the form of DLC will be released instead of buying the same game again.

The Isle of Armor

The Isle of Armor is the first-ever Pokemon expansion set to be released at the end of June for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The expansion can already be pre-ordered on your favorite local game stores or from the Nintedo Eshop. The expansion pass will cost US$29.99 for each version. Heads up! Do not get confused with the bundled expansion and game. If you already have the game, all you need to do to get the expansion is to purchase the correct expansion version that corresponds to your Pokemon game.

The Isle of Armor is set to bring new features in game as well as new Pokemons with their Galarian forms.

Crown of Tundra

After the Isle of Armor, another Pokemon expansion is set to be released around the Fall of 2020 and that is that Crown of Tundra. The second expansion takes place in the eponymous Crown Tundra, a mountainous region blanketed in snow. According to the Pokemon Company, the second expansion aims to promote game exploration. A side story will follow that appoints players to be a leader of an exploration team by “a certain NPC” and will be tasked with investigating the area.

The Crown of Tundra can now also be pre-ordered for US$29.99 on Nintendo Eshop.

Be sure to stick around as we give you the latest news and update for the upcoming Pokemon Expansion Game, the Isle of Armor.
