A new survival horror game from Red Barrels Studio, the developers behind the Outlast video game series, set in the Outlast universe is coming this 2021 and it will be called “The Outlast Trials.” The game will not be a direct sequel or prequel to the already existing Outlast titles but will exist in the same universe.
The Outlast Trials will be a survival horror game set in the middle of the Cold War era. The game will allow players to face the horrors of the trials either as a single player or with up to 4 players in cooperation mode.
The game was first announced back on December 4th of 2019 and is already listed on Steam and Epic Game Store. Developed by Red Barrels Studio, the game will revolve around surviving an era where the player plays the role of human guinea pigs that were involuntarily recruited by the Murkoff Corporation to test methods of brainwashing and mind control.
The exact release date of the game as well as its pricing, and platforms supported are yet to be revealed. We do know, however, that the game will be requiring a 64-bit processor and operating system according to its Steam page listing.
